What a powerful declaration of the deity of Christ! The writer, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, begins this epistle by declaring that Christ is better than the angels. The reason He is better than the angels is because He is God in human flesh, revealing Himself to mankind. He who created the universe became a man and died to pay for our sins. Then He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and intercedes for us. Amazing doesn't begin to describe it!
We need not pray to or for angels. They are God's servants and should be respected as such. But believers go straight to God in Jesus' name. It is in His name alone that we can approach God. Jesus is all we need. Trust Him!
